Yeongmojeon was established by Lee, Yongha, the governor of Yeongwol, with donation of county citizens to worship picture of Danjong in 1517(12th year in the reign of King Jungjong). It takes place on the southern hill under Balsan Mt. where Yeongwol-eup is observed. And, Lee, Gyujik, the descendant of Lee, Yongha, repaired it. memorial service is held every spring and fall.
In the picture in Yeongmojeon, Chu, Ikhan, the loyal retainer, is offering wild grapes to Danjong on a white horse. However, picture presently held there is drawn by Kim, Gichang, and the hanging board is written by Lee, Seungman.
