Taesilbi of the Great King Jeongjo

It's a taesil where Tae of 22nd Great King Jeongjo of Joseon Period(1752(28th year in the reign of King Yeongjo)~ 1800(24th year in the reign of King Jeongjo), period of reign : 1776~1800). It was first built in 1753(29th year in the reign of King Yeongjo) in Taebong of Gyejoksan Mt., Jeongyangri, Yeongwol-eup. When Jeongjo passed away, it was fitted and the monument was put up in 1800, in the reign of Sunjo. In 1929, the government-general of Korea moved the pot containing Tae to the precinct of Seosamreung in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do saying that management and maintenance of taesil is difficult if it's not moved. When lime mine was developed after the Koeran War, taesil and taesilbi was damaged. In 1967, General Development Committee of Yeongwol-gun moved it into KBS Yeongwol Broadcasting Studio in Geumgang River Park for better management, and restored to present location in 1997.
