Haeuso is a 2 story tower style structure built on the steep land in the precincts of Bodeoksa Temple. It shows traditional structure. It has 3gan in the front and 1gan in the side. It has a matbae roof.
The space inside is divided into 2 with the girder in the middle. 6gan of restroom is on the each side. path was installed along the walls of front and back. The front of each gan is open, and the side and the back of each gan is closed. It was wisely built to let 12 people to use it at once and to give different sections for male and female. The division structure of inside is well organized. However, lower round pillars are too thick compared to upper pillars. They break the balance of pillars of 2 story tower style building. This unbalance gives a rough yet strong impression. The letter of congratulation of house-raising tells that this Haeuso was built in 1882(19th year in the reign of King Gojong).
