Place for native and rare insects Yeongwol Insect Museum

Natural museum that is opened at 2002, located on closed Munpo elementary school with 4 exhibition rooms and ecology experience ground. There are ten thousand pieces of insect like butterfly, dragonfly and ladybug for exhibition.

The exhibition contains butterflies and moths like Taegeuk moth that gazed sight by Taegeuk pattern on the wings, Eureumbang moth that same color with fallen leaves, Wang butterfly which flies from Hanrasan Mt. to Seolaksan Mt.. There are various samples of insect and beetle that was gathered by director Lee Daeam by 30 years. You can see the rare insect of Donggang River Valley which is not listed on the textbook.
